It will be at least three years until he steps foot on a college campus, but Arp freshman Tren Jones already has his first offer. Late Friday night, the Class of 2020 prospect received an offer from Matt Rhule and the Baylor Bears.

The rising sophomore cornerback will have plenty to learn when it comes to the recruiting process. His older brother is safety DeMarvion Overshown, who is currently ranked as the 13th ranked overall recruit in Texas for the Class of 2018.
Jones will look to get his chance for the Arp Tigers in 2017 and to team up with his older brother in the secondary. The Tigers finished 13-2 and made a run to the Class 3A Division II state semifinals in 2016. Per ETSN’s Mike Graham, Jones is the second athlete from the Class of 2020 to receive a D1 offer from East Texas, with the other being Kelvontay Dixon from Carthage.
