The Bowie Bulldogs made sure history repeated itself Friday night, rolling past Del Valle 48-21 in a statement win. Senior running back Rhys Moreno stole the show once again, torching the Cardinals for 172 yards and four touchdowns on just 17 carries. Averaging more than ten yards per touch, Moreno powered an offense that moved the ball at will and put the game away early.
It was Bowie’s third win in four games, moving them to 4-2 on the year and keeping momentum rolling into district play. Del Valle, meanwhile, dropped to 1-5, struggling to slow down Moreno and a Bulldog attack that’s hit its stride.
Next week, Bowie faces its biggest test yet when it travels to Dripping Springs, while Del Valle looks to regroup at home against powerhouse Lake Travis.
