Brandeis Key Players and Storylines

Brandeis won its first playoff game in three years a season ago. During that run, the Broncos averaged 34.5 points per game. Expect their offense to be a problem again this year.

Dual threat quarterback Wynter Smith will be a handful for any opposing defense after a huge junior season. He also gained a bonafide star to target in Texas A&M commit Hakim Frampton, a move-in from Arkansas. Senior Grayson Hallmark (220 receiving yards) is also another reliable target in the receiving corps, which will be especially important in the early going after the Broncos graduated a 1,600-yard rusher.

Defensively, the Broncos have a disruptor in returning first team all-district defensive tackle CJ Parker (39 tackles). They also have a dynamic duo back at safety in proven tackler Ryan Morris (60 tackles) and junior Marco Munoz (24 tackles), who is beginning to attract Division I interest.

Brandeis did graduate a talented senior class, but the cupboard is far from empty. Smith is the type of player that can keep you in any game as Brandeis eyes a second-straight playoff berth.
