C.E. King Drops 70 on Conroe in Season-Opening Blowout

Well, that escalated quickly.

C.E. King opened the 2026 season by hanging 70 points on Conroe in a 70-10 rout. The Panthers were already up 35-3 at halftime, and the second half did not get any friendlier for the Tigers.

C.E. King piled up 641 total yards, with 327 coming on the ground and another 314 through the air. Quarterback Khylan Davis threw three touchdown passes as the Panthers consistently found big plays and kept the pressure on from start to finish.

There really was not much suspense once C.E. King grabbed control. The Panthers scored in bunches, moved the ball almost however they wanted, and turned their opener into one of the bigger scorelines of the weekend.

C.E. King gets its first win of the season and now heads into a matchup with Cypress Ranch, which opened with a 24-7 win over Fort Bend Hightower. Conroe will try to reset against Morton Ranch, coming off a 22-0 win over Cypress Creek.
