The Longhorn faithful will definitely recognize the name – Carlos Lynn was a defensive coordinator on the 2006 Cedar Hill state title team. He posted a 45-50 record while the head coach of Arlington Seguin, posting his best record in the 2016 season.
Lynn will replace Joey McGuire, who left the program for a job in Matt Rhule’s regime at Baylor and led Cedar Hill to three state titles during his tenure. The Longhorns went 11-3 in McGuire’s last year as a head coach, but will graduate lots of impactful seniors.
