Cedar Park Key Players and Storylines

They bring a winning culture with them. They won a 5A Division II state title in 2015 and made the 5A Division I State Title Game in 2020. They’re also consistent with 18-straight playoff appearances.
Now, the question is whether they can maintain that success at the 6A level. It always helps to have an experienced signal-caller and the Timberwolves certainly have that in three-year starter quarterback David Cooper (1,925 passing yards and 19 touchdowns). Expect the Timberwolves to lean on him and receivers Jonah Johnson (283 receiving yards and three touchdowns) and Brayden Jahns (503 receiving yards) early as the ground game replaces a 2,300-yard rusher.

Up front, 6’1”, 270-pound senior Brock Bungo has 23 games of starting experience under his belt and can also play multiple positions on the offensive line.
Defensively, six starters are back including aggressive safety CJ Rogers (93 tackles, eight TFLs), who will lead a strong secondary. In front of him, linebacker Coby Taute can also pitch in with pass coverage, while defensive end Olujimi Aluko (36 tackles, 15 TFLs) is an “excellent pass rusher.”
With the experience Cedar Park has in key areas, this will be a group that expects to compete right away. The Timberwolves have aspirations of not only a playoff berth in their 6A debut but a playoff run as well.
