Three Texas prep stars are included in the Class of 2022 Recruiting Top Ten Player Rankings, according to 247Sports.com: #1 QB Quinn Ewers of Southlake Carroll, #8 CB Denver Harris of Houston North Shore, and #10 OL Cameron Vaughn of Arlington Bowie.
#1 Quinn Ewers, 6-3, 206, Southlake Carrol
A pro-style quarterback with above-average athleticism and mobility, he shows good pocket presence and situational awareness. Ewers missed six games in 2020, but came back to lead Southlake Carroll to the 6A State Championship Game and a 12-2 finish.
He was a finalist at the 2021 Elite 11 Quarterback Competition and is an Ohio State commitment.
#8 Denver Harris, 6-1, 180, North Shore
With over 38 scholarship offers, Harris was named the district 21-6A Defensive Player of the Year in 2020. He helped lead North Shore to a state title as a sophomore in 2019.
Harris is very physical in pass coverage and possesses good turn and run coverage skills in the vertical passing game.
#10 Cameron Vaughn, 6-3, 310, Arlington Bowie
A two-sport athlete (football and basketball), has 31 scholarship offers. He is considered college ready.
Vaughn possesses good athleticism both in his pulling ability and second-level blocking. He camps out in the weight room. Vaughn was selected 1st Team All District 8-6A last season.
