Frisco Police confirmed that Wilson had been arrested and charged and has since bonded out of jail.
Wilson played in all 16 games last season for the Cowboys, starting six and making 34 tackles. With the numerous departures on the defensive side of the ball, the 2015 fourth-round draft selection by Dallas was expected to take on a bigger role this season.
Police have not yet said what caused Wilson to be arrested and the Cowboys have not commented on the incident.
