Well, it’s looking like the Cowboys may have to go all in on the defensive linemen that are left on the roster, as they’re bleeding free agent defensive linemen like no other. The Buffalo Bills announced that they have signed defensive end Ryan Davis this morning.

From a production standpoint, this won’t hit the Cowboys that hard. Davis didn’t produce a single sack for Dallas after enjoying a breakout two years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, during which he stacked up 10 sacks and forced three fumbles.
It’s not losing the virtually nonexistent production, it’s about losing depth. The Cowboys have already lost several defensive linemen to free agency, they’ll need to address these depth concerns sooner rather than later if they’re going to be fixed. There are still valuable free agents on the market, free agents the Cowboys could be in play for, but until they officially sign we’ll never know.
