One of the greatest coaching runs in the history of Texas high school football is over.
Cy-Fair head coach Ed Pustejovsky is stepping down after nearly four decades with the program.
Prior to taking over as head coach in 2004, Pustejovsky spent 23 years as the Bobcats offensive line coach.
In 2017, he guided Cy-Fair to the Class 6A, Division II championship, defeating Waco Midway 51-35. It was the Bobcats first state title and their deepest run since reaching the state semifinals in 1985.
Cy-Fair posted a record of 11-1 last season, reaching the Class 6A, Division I before falling to Katy 27-14 in the area round.
