If the Katy Tigers want to continue their journey to another state title, they’ll have to do so without their superstar running back.
Sophomore Deondrick Glass has been ruled out of Friday’s showdown with Galena Park North Shore after suffering a right leg injury last week against Cypress Ranch. This was first reported by the Houston Chronicle. Glass was injured on the Tigers’ second possession of last week’s game.
Glass has rushed for nearly 2,000 yards this year and 30 touchdowns. With him out, it will be up to Josh Oglesby and possibly Kadarius Page to carry the load for Katy, according to head coach Gary Joseph.
The Tigers and the Mustangs face off on Friday at noon at NRG Stadium in Houston.
