Dripping Springs Tigers vs Buda Johnson Jaguars Quick Recap

Round Rock Hail Roof Inspection

Friday night saw Dripping Springs travel to play Johnson, in hopes of continuing their dominance and extend their win streak to 4.

Dripping Springs Quarterback Maddox Maher had a big night as he completed 13 of 19 passes for 196 yards, throwing for 1 touchdown and rushing for another. Maher connected with receivers Kyle Koch for 7 catches and 140 yards, Cooper Reid, who had 3 catches for 42 yards, and Jack Tyndall, who collected 2 catches for 18 yards, finding himself in the endzone once.

Most of the Tiger’s points came from the ground, as Jack Tyndall rushed for 171 yards on 16 touches, reaching the endzone 3 times. Nick Tyndall rushed for 74 yards on 7 touches and a touchdown, and Elijah Gonzales rushed for a 1-yard touchdown on his only touch. The Tiger’s defense did not make it easy for the Jaguars, as the Tigers only gave up 13 points.

Johnson was trying to stay in the game, as the offense was able to rack up 200 total yards.  But Dripping Springs’ explosive defense proved too much, as the Jaguars had no answers and struggled to score, settling for 13 points.

Dripping Springs wins easily 62-13 .

Buda Johnson will look to rebound next week against the Austin High Maroons. The Maroons are coming off a 31-27 win over Austin Bowie. Dripping Springs will look to improve to 5-1 as they face the Austin Akins Eagles.
