Eaton Key Players and Storylines

However, there’s reason to believe 2026 can be different. Eaton has 15 starters back and head coach Ellis Miller is optimistic about what his team can achieve this fall.
Every successful team needs a leader and the Eagles have that in quarterback Kalika “Rocky” Nisa (1,523 passing yards and nine touchdowns), who impressed with his decision making in his first year running the show. If he’s looking for a spark, receiver Sunjaya Peoples (418 receiving yards and four touchdowns) can provide it, while fellow junior 6’3″ receiver TJ Holt provides a big target that can go up and get it. Up front, Houston commit 6’7″, 280-pound tackle Thomas Muiruri is a player that raises the confidence of the entire offensive line with his presence.

Defensively, linebacker Ben Hicks will be Eaton’s go-to playmaker all over the field, while 6’1″, 290-pound defensive tackle Zyien Thompson “controls the line of scrimmage.” Safety Caden Tavarez is equally comfortable in coverage as he is laying a big hit and will provide leadership in a secondary that lacks depth.
Miller said the hunger he has seen from his players over the offseason is evident. With playmakers back on both sides of the ball and the sour taste from last year’s close losses, the Eagles are determined to snap their playoff drought this fall.
