The Eastwood Troopers will be taking a bit of a road trip in the upcoming years. Teams from El Paso are used to road trips, but this one will take a little longer than even they’re used to. The path to play the Plano Wildcats in 2018 and 2019 will be around 650 miles long and anywhere from 9 hours to 10 hours by regular car, making it even longer by bus. That’s a ridiculous amount of time spent on the road, to say the least.
This will be the first time Plano has played a team from El Paso, playoffs included. The Wildcats posted a 4-6 record in the 2016 season, and the Troopers put up a 5-5 record. Both missed the playoffs.
