Trinity Key Players and Storylines

Gone are five all-district linemen from last year’s team as well as their top four running backs. Returning starting quarterback Mack Lineweaver will help steady the ship with his leadership and decision making as new starters settle in all around him. He will have a familiar face in the receiving corps with 6’2″, 225-pound tight end Kohen Fiefa.

Defensively, the Trojans have more experience to work with. Safety Chayce Davis is a standout athlete on the back end who recently committed to Oklahoma State. Up front, Trinity should be able to generate pressure on opposing quarterbacks with returning second team all-district defensive ends Jace Freeman and Simione Naupoto and 6’2″, 270-pound nose guard Semisi Naupoto.
The offense has to replace the majority of its production from a year ago, so its defense, which gave up just 23 points per game a year ago, will be big early on. If there’s any program that can reload a roster, it’s Trinity. Expect them to lean heavily on their culture of success this fall as they look to make it 29-straight playoff berths.
