ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced on Twitter that New Orleans Saints, and former Westlake quarterback, Drew Brees would return for his 20th NFL Season.
The former Chaparral just turned 41 years old, and enters the 2020 season second to Tom Brady as the oldest quarterback in the league. Much like Brady, Brees finds himself as a free agent coming in to the new season. His contract is currently up with the New Orleans Saints and may sign elsewhere when the new year begins.
Also, like Brady, the pair of quarterbacks keep exchanging records for most touchdowns thrown, most career passing yards, and most completions.
The 2020 season should see Brees eclipse Brett Farve for most passing attempts as he only needs nine to surpass the Hall of Fame quarter back with 10,161. And, this year should see Brees get over 80,000 passing yards.
