Fort Bend Ridge Point offensive lineman Jackson McDowell announced his commitment to Air Force on Thursday evening.

The senior chose the Falcons over offers from Central Arkansas, Stephen F. Austin and Navy. He becomes Commit No. 10 for Air Force in the Class of 2018 and joins Cy-Fair inside linebacker Patrick Atkinson as the Texan commits to the Falcons.
McDowell was a starting tackle last year for the Panthers but is projected to move to guard at the next level. He will help anchor an line that helped generate more than 420 yards of offense per game in 2016. The Panthers finished 11-1 last season, finishing the regular season undefeated before falling in the area round of the playoffs to Houston Lamar.
Fort Bend Ridge Point is scheduled to open their season September 2 at home against Kingwood.
