Midway (Waco, TX) offensive lineman Hakeem White announced his commitment to Texas Tech yesterday, becoming the 15th Red Raider commit of the 2018 class.

According to 247Sports, White stands at 6’3″ and 281 pounds. He also holds offers from Houston, Kansas State and Missouri. On tape, White appears to move relatively well for a big man as he’s able to move to the second level and make blocks downfield.
When he arrives in Lubbock, White will need to adjust from his usual three point stance as Texas Tech linemen almost never line up with a hand in the dirt. As the fourth offensive lineman commit in the class, there’s a decent chance White is the last lineman Texas Tech takes for 2018 barring severe depth issues or a prospect they feel like they really can’t miss out on.
There could also be some friendly rivalry between White and his quarterback, Tanner Mordecai, who’s a prized 2018 quarterback commit for Big 12 foe Oklahoma.
