Hebron Key Players and Storylines

That’s not to say there aren’t players ready to take the leadership torch. Senior quarterback Brady Brock (2,381 passing yards and 25 touchdowns) has proven he has a great command of the offense. Hebron will go as he goes this season. He’ll also have the benefit of having do-it-all junior receiver Jevonyae Broussard (175 receiving yards and three touchdowns) and 6’2”, 200-pound tight end Connor Vary at his disposal in the passing attack.

Defensively, the Hawks have linebacker Michael Carney (50 tackles) hungry to build off a productive junior season. Cornerback Preston Crayton (27 tackles, three INTs) is both great in coverage and a reliable tackler, while 5’8”, 240-pound defensive lineman Rodrick Joyner will lead Hebron’s run defense from the trenches. Joyner is coming off a first team all-district selection.
The Hawks may have just eight returning starters, but Towels has been impressed with just how cohesive this year’s group has been. He wants them to continue to lean in on Hebron’s competitive culture as the Hawks aim to make it three straight playoff appearances.
