Week Four Friday Night Lights! On September 15th, 2023 the Dickinson Gators played against the Klein Oak Panthers. The Gators have been on a winning streak since they lost in week 1 against The Atascocita Eagles. Unfortunately, the game was delayed by 30 minutes because of the rain, but afterward, the two teams were ready to play.
The Dickinson Gators received the ball first. Klein Oak forced them to go three & out, and Dickinson had to punt the ball. Dickinson’s #7 Nicholas Peace recovered a fumble, and The Gators are back on offense. One minute later, running back #24 Leonard Browne Jr rushed in for a 5-yard touchdown. Before the end of the 1st quarter, quarterback #2 John Solomon for The Gators scored a touchdown. By halftime, the score was 17-8, with Dickinson leading.
Start of the 3rd quarter Klein Oak received the kickoff. In the 3rd quarter, the game was at a standstill. Neither team could score a touchdown, and The Gators could only kick a field goal. In the 4th quarter, The Gators were not playing around any more games. They scored a touchdown early on with tight-end #88 Jeremiah Scoby. The Gators scored another touchdown and kicked a field goal to end the game with a final score of 37-8.
Next week The Dickinson Gators travel to League City to play against The Clear Spring Chargers, and The Klein Oak Panthers will host The Klein Collins Tigers.
