Atascocita enjoyed one of the best seasons in program history last year, and one of the young men responsible for making it happen will get a chance at the next level. Travian Blaylock, a defensive back, has committed to Wisconsin.

Atascocita faced down a gauntlet in the playoffs last year. A first round matchup with Deer Park lead to a second round game against Pearland, and a third round game against Houston Lamar quickly turned into a fourth round rematch with in-district foe Galena Park North Shore, which the Eagles won in overtime. Next came a duel with Lake Travis, who eventually won the state championship, and the Eagles fell.
Atascocita will have to replace lots of parts from last year’s semifinal run, but they still have the returners in place on defense to make someone’s season end prematurely.
