Last year, Curry’s Spartans plowed all the way to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs before losing by a mere point to Carthage. The Carthage game and a regular season ending loss to El Campo were the only games the Spartans lost on the field, but in the technical terms, they lost 5. Stafford had to forfeit three games due to an ineligible player, making their final record 9-5.
Curry is a Florida State commit, and still has two years before he graduates. His new quarterback? Grant Gunnell, a five star Texas A&M commit.
