After a standout performance in the 5A Division II title game, Aledo running back Jase McClellan had some good news to share from his performance.
Blessed to say that I have received my first offer from The Southern Methodist University!!🔴🔵 #PonyUp pic.twitter.com/mJfxXeZFxL

Against Corpus Christi Calallen, McClellan finished with 98 yards rushing, including a 59-yard touchdown run that sent AT&T Stadium buzzing on Friday night with a “Beast Mode” type run. His performance earned him the offensive MVP award of the state title game.
He is only a freshman and played a pivotal role in the Bearcats offense in 2016, finishing with 1,528 yards and 20 touchdowns. For Aledo, it was their seventh state title in school history.
If he puts up more numbers and more great performances like he did in the state championship game, expect plenty more offers to be coming his direction.
