Kansas State AD Shows Off New ‘Texas State Champions’ T-Shirt

It was not a great year for college football for Texas schools in the Big 12 in 2016. Texas went 5-7 and fired Charlie Strong, TCU and Texas Tech struggled as well, and Baylor was plagued by problems related to Art Briles and the sexual assault scandal. Even Texas A&M fizzled out in November yet again after a fast start to their season.

Besides all being in the same state, they all shared another fate in 2016: They all lost to Kansas State. And as they say, to the winner go the spoils. In this case, you can add bragging rights to that list via Kansas State athletic director John Currie, declaring the Wildcats ‘Texas State Champions.’

No word on where Currie got the t-shirt from but it seems like it’s become his new favorite.
