Jordan Key Players and Storylines
It hasn’t taken long for Jordan to establish itself as a 6A program. The Warriors have only played a district schedule for four seasons, and they’ve already earned back-to-back third round playoff appearances.
The offense has a chance to be a fireworks factory again this year with eight returning starters. Quarterback Thomas Eugate (916 passing yards and eight touchdowns) is back and he’s spoiled with the skill talent he has around him. Speedster running back John Okonji (659 rushing yards and seven touchdowns) will pace the ground game along with power back Jordan Hightower (510 rushing yards and eight touchdowns), who missed most of last year due to injury.
In the passing attack, Landon Williams (530 receiving yards and six touchdowns) is Jordan’s deep ball threat while Rush Williams (237 receiving yards) burst onto the scene as a freshman last year. Houston commit Mo Poko will play some receiver as well as defensive back.
Joining him in the secondary is versatile cornerback/safety Carter Francis (79 tackles). Linebacker Braden Pino is “not scared of contact” and it showed last year with him leading Jordan with 114 tackles. In front of him, defensive end Elijah Wright (44 tackles, 14 TFLs) is another Division I prospect. He’s a three-year starter and is just as strong in run defense as he is as a pass rusher.

One of the biggest things that head coach Mike Rabe has done is establish a strong culture at Jordan. The Warrior coaching staff has been impressed with just how strong the leadership is within this year’s group. That’ll be a sturdy foundation to build on as the Warriors aim to push for some more Thanksgiving football in 2026.
