Seven Lakes Key Players and Storylines

However, the cupboard isn’t completely bare. Quarterback Tyson Fifer is back behind center and things should start to “slow down” for him this season with a year of experience under his belt. Junior running back Chance Janda is ready to be the workhorse and should be able to run behind 6’4”, 250-pound tackle Matthew Krock, Seven Lakes’ only returning offensive lineman.
Hamon is excited about some of the defensive playmakers the Spartans will have this season. Defensive lineman Hayden Gandolfo (58 tackles, 20.5 TFLs) is a consistent presence in opponents’ backfields with his pass rushing ability. Behind him, linebacker Kannon Floyd (69.5 tackles, 11 TFLs) is Seven Lakes’ version of the Energizer bunny with his motor at the second level.

A year ago, the Spartans averaged just over 12 points per game. Improving that tally is goal number one this fall as the Spartans look to close the gap with the other fellow Katy ISD programs in the top half of District 22-6A.
