Recently committed to Alabama, Russell is proving why he’s among the top quarterbacks in the 2025 recruiting class. He has thrown for 1,864 yards and 25 touchdowns through five games without a single interception. His versatility extends to the ground, with 140 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Russell’s most impressive performance came in a dominant 42-20 win over DeSoto, where he passed for 426 yards and six touchdowns.
As Duncanville continues its quest for another state title, Russell’s leadership and consistency make him one of the most exciting prospects to watch in Texas high school football. His next test will be against Lancaster, as the Panthers aim to keep their winning streak alive.
