Last Season: 2-7; 2-6 in district

Returning Lettermen: 27 (5 returning starters on offense; 4 on defense)

Timber Creek Key Players and Storylines

Timber Creek found some light at the end of the tunnel right at the end of its 2025 season. After an 0-7 start, the Falcons won their final two games.

They’re looking to carry some of that momentum into this fall. After three of their six district losses came by a touchdown or less last season, there’s hope this group can make a playoff push.

It’ll start with a strong nucleus on offense with returning starting quarterback Lane Brinkley and returning starting running back Trey Hopkins, who is a grinder out of the backfield. In the passing attack, 6’2” receiver Ebube Okwelume (440 receiving yards and four touchdowns) “can stretch the field”, while Hudson Howard (242 receiving yards and two touchdowns) is an “explosive receiving threat in the slot.”

The biggest question mark is on the offensive line. 6’1”, 300-pound guard Jordan Cehyah and junior guard Dylan McTyer are back, but the Falcons will need some players to step up alongside them including sophomore center Gavin Castillo.

Defensively, the Falcons did graduate all three of their all-district players from last season. They’ll be sturdy in the middle of the field with linebackers Colin Bruce, Braddock Jones, and Preston Lee. Defensive end Noah Damron will be “strong in the run game” while defensive lineman Izayah Young is another sophomore ready to contribute right away.

Head coach Austin Kaehn said there’s a lot of parity in District 4-6A this year. His guys will have to play with a lot of grit, but he believes if they play “tough, complimentary football,” they will have a shot at a playoff berth.
