Klein Cain Beats Cypress Falls 50-27

Roof Replacement from Ja-Mar Roofing & Sheet Metal

The Klein Cain Hurricanes (2-1) vs. The Cypress Falls (2-1) took place Thursday night, September 7th, 2023. They are two solid teams that focus on heavy-run formations. Klein Cain’s main running back, #21 Darius Rodgers, is small and extremely fast, strong enough to fight for every single yard. Cypress Falls’ primary running back, Army Westpoint commit #22, Trey Morris, has a solid frame and sturdy and broad shoulders. Trey has a mean, stiff arm and is great at running through open holes.

The game started strong for Klein Cain. Darius Rodgers broke right through the middle with breakneck speed for a 70-yard touchdown. That was the 1st 5 minutes of the game. In the rest of the 1st quarter, Klein Cain’s quarterback #18, Issac Mooring, threw two touchdown passes, ending the 1st quarter with a score of 20-0. One minute into the 2nd quarter, Cypress Falls finally scored a touchdown, with quarterback #6 Kye Callicoatee rushing it in himself for 15 yards. The game was at a standstill for most of the 2nd quarter until the last five minutes when Klein Cain scored two touchdowns before the end of the half.

Even though they were down, Cypress Falls continued to play their hardest to shorten the gap. Trey Morris was busy the whole night, having 18 carries with 134 rushing yards. Trey scored a single before the end of the 3rd quarter, but Klein Cain’s defense was not allowing many runs or passes to come through. Klein Cain maintained their momentum, scoring two touchdowns and a safety, finishing the game with a final score of 50-27.

Cypress Falls and Klein Cain both have an upcoming bye week and will continue their respective season during week five!
