Nick Codutti, a longtime Texas High School football coach who most recently served as Klein High School’s head football coach and athletic coordinator, was arrested Saturday on two felony charges tied to allegations from his time at Tomball High School.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office charged the 43-year-old with indecency with a child and sexual performance by a child. Court records allege the conduct occurred in 2018 and 2019 while Codutti was employed at Tomball ISD.
Investigators began looking into the allegations in late April after Child Protective Services received a report involving a former Tomball student.
According to court records, a woman told investigators that a sexual relationship with Codutti began when she was 16 and continued for several years. The allegations include claims that sexual images were exchanged and that encounters occurred both away from school and on school property.
The charges remain allegations. Codutti has not been convicted.
Codutti later became the head coach at Fulshear before taking over the Klein football program in 2025.
Klein ISD Responds
Klein ISD said it first learned of the allegations in May 2026. Codutti was placed on administrative leave and remained away from students while the investigation continued.
After the district learned criminal charges had been accepted, his employment with Klein ISD was terminated.
The district also said Codutti had completed required background checks and received positive professional references before being hired. Klein ISD emphasized that the allegations stem from Codutti’s previous employment and are unrelated to his time in the district.
Codutti’s bond was set at $50,000 on each charge. Records show he posted bond and was released Sunday.
