Lake Travis turned a defensive slugfest into a statement win on Friday night, defeating Dripping Springs 14-7 in a battle of unbeaten teams at Tiger Stadium.
The Cavaliers struggled offensively most of the night, managing just 189 total yards, but their defense — led by Carter Buck, Ben Duncum, and Pierce Atkins — kept the game within reach.
Dripping Springs led 7-0 entering the fourth quarter before Lake Travis’ defense flipped the script. A critical interception by rover Teddy Lofgren set up a short touchdown run from Vann Hopping with under two minutes left.
On the following drive, linebacker Owen Aird recovered a fumble to secure the win. The Cavaliers improved to 7-0 and now turn their attention to a marquee district clash against rival Westlake.
