Lake Travis Dominates Del Valle 56-7, Remains Undefeated

After getting blanked by Bowie last week, the best Del Valle could do was put some points on the board.

Lake Travis kept their undefeated season alive on Friday, blowing past the Cardinals at home 56-7.

It was Del Valle’s fourth consecutive defeat.

Although the Lake Travis offense grew lackadaisical, scoring only one touchdown in the second half, the Cavaliers defense limited their opponents to 32 yards on the ground, one complete pass, a fumble, and only three offensive possessions during the remaining two periods. The sole bright spot for the Del Valle offensive unit was a 75-yard passing touchdown on the second possession of the latter half.

The Cavaliers have now won five matchups by 21 points or more this year, including five straight home triumphs dating back to last season. Although LT has already excelled during a tough non-district slate, they still have four district contests left. Their next two are against their hardest challenges yet, Dripping Springs and Westlake. Both teams currently have a combined 11-2 record.

Lake Travis will first face Dripping Springs on their home turf next week. Following their bye, Del Valle will host the Tigers on October 25th.
