Lake Travis Standout Cameron Dicker a Los Angeles Chargers Hero
From free agent to Special Teams Player of the Week.
The legend of Dicker the Kicker continues to grow.
The former Lake Travis grad hit a 37-yard field goal as time expired on Sunday, giving the Chargers a 20-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The effort earned Dicker his second Special teams Player of the Week honors this season. His other honor was against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 when he hit a 23-yard game-winner. At that time, he was on the Philadelphia Eagles.
In his high school career with the Cavaliers, Dicker was a two-time all-state selection and served as the starting kicker for three seasons. He accumulated a total of 331 points and set a school record with a 53-yard field goal.
After graduation, the Dicker the Kicker legend grew at our state’s capital, earning First-Team and Second-Team All-Big 12 honors in three different seasons with the UT Longhorns.
After going undrafted, he has signed with four separate teams since August 2022.
So far, Dicker the Kicker is perfect in the NFL: he’s made all four of his field goal attempts and all four extra points attempts.
The Chargers have yet to permanently add him to their 53-man roster.
