Lakeview Centennial Key Players and Storylines

Lakeview Centennial actually scored more points than it gave up a year ago, 220-213, but four one-possession losses contributed to the Patriots’ 3-7 finish.

The good news? There’s a chance for redemption this season. A ton of juniors starred for the Patriots in 2025, and they will want to end their high school careers on the right note.

Offensively, the Patriots are stout in the trenches with Jackson State commit center Valentine Akidi, returning first team all-district tackle Cameron May, and 6’5″, 280-pound senior tackle Chris Udeh. Their size and stability should allow the Patriots’ experienced backfield of dual threat quarterback Dakari Jernigan (1,623 passing yards, 856 rushing yards, 21 total TDs) and running back Prince Guerrero (401 rushing yards and two touchdowns) to thrive.

Defensively, Lakeview Centennial may be even more dominant up front. 6’3″, 255-pound defensive tackle/defensive end Khing Thibeodeaux (75 tackles, 11 sacks) and 6’0″, 230-pound defensive end Jaxson Wilson are both three-star Division I prospects. Behind them, linebacker Dewayne Ingram (70 tackles, 10 TFLs) can also provide pressure from the second level. And while quarterbacks are worrying about that front seven, they’ll also have to navigate the Patriots’ secondary.

Four-star prospect Montre Jackson (20 tackles, one INT) and North Dakota State commit Carson Wilson (25 tackles, one INT) headline the unit at cornerback while safeties Amori Kye (70 tackles, four INTs) and Desmond Ford Jr. (40 tackles and two INTs) are both returning all-district honorees.

After last year’s lessons learned, this is shaping up to be a year with plenty of potential for the Patriots. With a talented senior class, they’ll look to end their playoff drought in 2026.
