Wednesday ended up being a good day on the recruiting trail for Texas Tech. After getting a commitment from Grapevine quarterback Alan Bowman earlier in the day, the Red Raiders picked up a second DFW Metroplex commitment from Lancaster defensive tackle John Graves, who put a unique twist with his commitment video.

The three-star defensive tackle chose the Red Raiders over other offers from Memphis, New Mexico State and UTSA. He becomes the seventh commit for Kliff Kingsbury’s 2018 recruiting class.
Prior to his move to Lancaster, he started up front for Blue Springs (Missouri). Graves will be a new addition up front and should be a welcomed impact player for head coach Chris Gilbert and the Tigers in 2017.
