Langham Creek Lobos

Head Coach: Todd Thompson (18th season; 100-80 record)

Last Season: 6-4; 3-4 in district

Returning Lettermen: 20 (5 returning starters on offense; 8 on defense)

Langham Creek Key Players and Storylines

Langham Creek was so close to the playoffs last year, the Lobos could taste it. They recorded their first winning season in seven years, but they ended up finishing just one win outside the playoff picture.

This season, the Lobos are determined to finish the job.

An experienced defense with eight returning starters will be at the center of any improvement. The Lobos have a legit stud in four-star defensive end Ezekiel Ayangbile (50 tackles, eight TFLs). He should pair well with promising junior Jacory Shine (23 tackles, nine TFLs).

Behind them, opposing offenses will also have to account for highly-touted linebacker Jhadyn Nelson (71 tackles and 11 TFLs) coming off the edge, while safety Jarvious Owens (44 tackles) has good “size and speed” on the back end.

Offensively, Jace Williams is ready to slide into the starting quarterback role after serving as the backup last season. He’ll have tough running back Jordan King (671 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns) alongside him and athletic 6’1”, 190-pound receiver Camarre Palmer (521 receiving yards and five touchdowns) as a top option in the passing game.

The pure talent on the defensive side of the ball has head coach Todd Thompson confident his Lobos will be even stronger this fall. He hopes that will be enough to get them across the finish line and in the playoffs for the first time in eight years.
