College Station ISD named former Navasota head coach Lee Fedora as the next head coach of the A&M Consolidated Tigers on Friday. The move was first reported by Colin Deaver and later confirmed by CSISD.
Fedora left Navasota after the 2015 season and was not a head coach this past year. During his time as the head coach of the Rattlers, he led Navasota to two state championships (2012, 2014) and compiled a record of 109-30 through 11 seasons.
Fedora takes over at his alma mater for David Raffield, who posted a 46-26 record in six seasons at A&M Consolidated. The Tigers finished 8-4 this past season, advancing to the regional semifinals of the Class 5A Division II playoffs before being eliminated by Fort Bend Marshall.
In the CSISD release, Superintendent Dr. Clark Ealy said, “We are thrilled to have landed a state-championship-caliber coach to the CSISD family,” Ealy said. “Lee’s record on the field speaks for itself and as a Consol alum, he understands the culture and high expectations of this community. He is an absolute perfect fit for this position.”
Per the CSISD release, Fedora is expected to be confirmed as the new head coach and athletic coordinator on Monday.
