Levelland mishandled the ball on the return and the Bulldogs recovered it, giving them great field position. The Bulldogs took advantage and scored on a 33-yard pass to Collins. Plainview then scored a two-point conversion.

The Lobos answered back again with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Salazar. The Lobos PAT would be blocked putting the score 20-20 going into halftime.
