It was was widely assumed that Midland would promote from within when Craig Yenzer retired, and promote from within they did: the new head coach of the Midland Bulldogs is last year’s defensive coordinator, Tim Anuszkiewicz.

Anuszkiewicz was the architect of a defense that was instrumental in the Bulldogs’ 9-3 run in 2016. Yenzer vocally advocated for one of his assistants to get the job, and it seems that the school board complied with his request.
Tim Anuszkiewicz is also the father of Jackson Anuszkiewicz, who was the quarterback of the Bulldogs last season. The Bulldogs will enter their second season in the realigned 2-6A with a lot of momentum from last year’s great season and continuity in the coaching staff.
