The final game of the Texas high school football season turned into a strong defensive showcase for the Cy-Fair Bobcats. Making their state championship debut, the Bobcats were able to run through the Waco Midway defense en route to a 51-35 win over the Panthers.
One of the big keys for the playoff run for the Bobcats has been their power running game with Trenton Kennedy proving to be the workhorse for a strong Cy-Fair squad. Kennedy stepped up on offense, rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns.
And as voted on by the fans, Kennedy’s performance earned him the TexasHSFootball Most Valuable Player of the Game presented by VCRNow.
