A Kansas City Chiefs rookie signal caller is getting his opportunity. Per head coach Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes will be making his first career start on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

With the Chiefs clinching the AFC West and a home playoff game, it gives Andy Reid  a chance to rest his starters and give his younger players like Mahomes an opportunity to show what they can do on the field.

The former Texas Tech and Whitehouse High standout was selected No. 10 overall by the Chiefs in the 2017 NFL Draft and had turned heads during the preseason with his strong arms and his playmaking ability. Now, he’ll get a chance to showcase his talent against a division opponent.
