Pebble Hills Key Players and Storylines

Ryan Warner and staff have to replace a large group of graduates, but they still have seven starters back on both sides.
Quarterback Joe Fernandez (1,892 passing yards and 23 touchdowns) has the perfect combination of a strong arm and the ability to extend plays with his feet. He’s heading into year three under center, and he’ll have strong options in the passing attack. Lajuan Bailey (553 receiving yards and nine touchdowns) led the Spartans in catches and touchdowns last year, while the sky is the limit for 6’4” sophomore tight end Noah Tarrant (484 receiving yards and six touchdowns), who already has Power Four offers.
Freshman year End of Season highlights! Great regular season by our team finishing 7-3. Playoff time, let’s go 1-0 every week! 🟠🔵 #PebbleHills #ThisIsSparta

Defensively, the Spartans live up to their nickname with their physicality. Defensive lineman Omar Jacquez (29 tackles, five TFLs) requires a double team, while linebackers Jose Ambriz (66 tackles) and promising junior Jaime Ortega (73 tackles, 12.5 TFLs) can be disruptive from the second level. When other teams look to pass, senior Daveon Sullivan gives the Spartans a true lockdown option at cornerback.
Pebble Hills improved by two wins in Ryan Warner’s second season. With their returning experience, the Spartans are expecting a similar jump this year as they eye their first playoff win in four years.
