1. What was the highlight of your 2020 season?
Starting my first varsity home game for sure. We have a tradition before every home game called the “walk of champions,” where our entire team, coaches, and drummers from the band, walk down the main drag to Cavalier Stadium, to the beat of the drums. All the fans are lined up along the walk and are cheering. It’s an amazing feeling, and the first time I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest.
2. Who was the best player on an opposing team that you played against?
I’d say Jayden Cofield from Del Valle. We have played together on travel and all star teams, and against each other since 6th grade.
3. Who is your favorite NFL Player?
Quentin Nelson! A pure beast with a fun attitude.
4. What is your favorite sport or activity besides football?
Wrestling or grilling steaks! We gotta bring that tradition back after Covid.
5. Favorite subject in school?
History — Especially biographies of key figures.
6. Name Names – Which Teammate would win:
A. a Madden tournament?
I’ll go with my QB Bo Edmunson. He’s a Madden fan. Plus he has an advantage being a QB.
B. a Dance-Off competition?
Isaac Norris if it’s an open competition. But for a big dude, Seth McDaniel shows good moves after games.
C. 40-yard dash challenge?
I think I have to go with my buddy Nic Byrd — definitely has speed to spare.
D. a Bench Press challenge?
That would be me! Sorry
E. a game of Jeopardy?
We have a few brainiacs in the upcoming senior class. I’d go with bro Jonathan Salem.
7. Why do you love football?
Well first, I have brothers for the rest of my life. Second, I love the competition aspect of it. But most, it’s my escape! Nothing else matters but that game, practice, or drill.
