1: What was the highlight of your 2023 football season?

The highlight of our season, to me, was being able to avenge last year’s loss, and beat Centerville in our Round 2 matchup. They are a great football team, and we showed a total team effort in coming away with the win to advance.

2: What was the biggest challenge you or your team had to overcome this season?

Our defensive coordinator, Coach Mac, was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, prior to our season’s beginning. We all rallied behind him, as he always does for us, and we fought everyday, for him!

3: If you could give advice to an incoming freshman football player, what would it be?

My advice would be to understand that hard work takes precedence over talent. Nothing can replace the hard work you put into this game.

4: If you could be a Superhero, which one would you pick and why?

Captain America – He’s got the Avengers with him, and I show up on Friday Night with mine!

5: If you had to go to an island and only bring 3 things, what would you bring?

Gotta have fire starter, a fishing pole, and a machete.

6: If not in the NFL winning the Super Bowl MVP, where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I will have graduated law school and I will be well on my way to getting a job at a corporate law firm. But . Super Bowl MVP would be nice!

7: What is your go-to pre-game pump-up song?

Dreams and Nightmares by Meek Mill

8: What is your favorite football or sports movie?

Remember The Titans

9: Name a teammate that:

A: Improved the most this year:

Mason “Rocky” Banker

B: Can bench press the most:

Me…All Day!

C: Has the fastest 40:

Ryelan Morris

D: Has the best dance moves:

Dre Patt

E: Is most likely to become a high school football coach:

Tatum Banker

10: Why do you love football?

I love football because it’s the greatest sport in the world. You are not only shaping who you are as a player, but who you are as a human being. The opportunity to hold your brothers in arms accountable is what I look forward to every Friday night.
