Week 10 is approaching in Texas High School Football; there are tons of great matchups the one everyone is talking about is The Atascocita Eagles (8-0) vs The North Shore Mustangs (8-0). This is the most anticipated game of the entire season these are the current top 2 teams in Houston, with Atascocita at #1 and North Shore at #2.
Atascocita has numerous weapons on offense they have Klein Forest transfer wide receiver #2. Jelani Watkins is one of the fastest athletes I have ever seen play high school football. This is a result of his success in track and field. Two strong running backs, #14 Cardae Mack and #5 Tory Blaylock, have also been leaving their mark on the field. The player leading them is quarterback #1 Zion Brown he is a proficient passer and has the speed and quickness to scramble out of a jam to pick up the 1st down. On defense, cornerback #4 Braylon Conley and free safety #10 Hunter Sowell are the main contributors in the defensive secondary, providing excellent coverage and attacking anyone in their zone.
North Shore has a great leader in quarterback #9 Kaleb Bailey ever since his injury last season, he bounced back to lead his team to an undefeated season currently. Kaleb’s most reliable targets are wide receivers #4 Terrence Guillory and #2 Christopher Barnes they both have a great deal of speed and quickness to get off any coverage to receive the pass. On defense, they have one of the best juniors in the nation, cornerback #6 Devin Sanchez. Devin has an aggressive play style he matches the opposing wide receiver’s speed and rarely lets any passes come through.
I’m honestly excited to watch this game. I have been looking forward to this game since the start of the season. It’s tough to pick who will win this game, but no matter what, it will be a game to remember.
