On Friday night, Prosper kicked off district play against a formidable McKinney Boyd team, which was coming off a bye week and eager to add another win to their record. McKinney Boyd was riding high after a dominant victory over Plano West and aimed to carry that momentum into the game.
Prosper struck first with a rushing touchdown, but McKinney Boyd quickly responded with a 40-yard touchdown pass, tying the game at 7-7. Prosper regained the lead, ending the first quarter up 14-7, and from that point on, they never looked back.
