The former Copperas Cove and Baylor star has had a tumultuous professional career, one that will ultimately be remembered for injuries and what could have been instead of his on field accomplishments.
There’s really no debate, Griffin was fantastic in Washington, but misuse of his abilities and the rigors of being a dual threat quarterback in the NFL caught up to him too quickly. He only played in 5 games for the Browns this year due to injuries. It’s too early to say whether his professional career in football is over at this point, but being released by the Browns, who just picked up Brock Osweiler, is definitely not a good sign.
