Former Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes was reportedly robbed at gunpoint over the weekend in Smith County.
According to a report from KLTV in Tyler, Mahomes was one of four individuals who told police that they had been robbed after getting out of a car and stepping on to a driveway. A second car had pulled up behind them and a suspect gestured that he had a gun on him, demanded property from each of the victims and fled the scene. No one was harmed
After speaking with the victims, deputies were able to track down the vehicle and arrested Michael Blake Pinkerton, 34, and Billy Ray Johnson, 58 a short distance away from where the reported robbery took place.
No one was injured and the stolen property was recovered by police.
The Smith County Sherriff’s Office told KLTV that the investigation is ongoing.
