It appears Adrian Peterson’s stay in the Big Easy was a short one. Per ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the running back has been traded from the New Orleans Saints to the Arizona Cardinals for a conditional draft pick.

The former Palestine star had signed with the Saints back in April as a free agent after a storied tenure as the feature back of the Minnesota Vikings. However, things have not gotten according to plan this season as Peterson has struggled to establish a foothold within the offense. Through four games this season, Peterson had 27 carries for just 81 yards.
As Peterson heads to the desert, he’ll look to bolster a Cardinals rushing attack that is dead last in the NFL in total rushing yards per game. Starting running back David Johnson suffered a fractured wrist in Week 1 and Arizona has not been able to find many solutions.
