Ridge Point Rolls Past Bridgeland 31-3

The Fort Bend Ridge Point Panthers stayed perfect with a statement 31-3 win over previously unbeaten Bridgeland on Thursday night.

Running back DJ Darling set the tone early, powering in the first touchdown late in the first quarter. The Panthers extended their lead in the second when Aiden Akins literally flipped into the end zone for a highlight-reel score, sending Ridge Point into halftime up 17-3.

The Bears struggled to find rhythm, their lone points coming from a field goal as the half expired. A third-quarter touchdown was erased by penalty, and the Panthers’ defense slammed the door on a key fourth-down try.

Ridge Point kept the pressure on, tacking on two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to seal the dominant win. Now 3-0, the Panthers travel to Fort Bend Elkins next week, while Bridgeland (2-1) looks to bounce back at Houston Langham Creek.
